AFD Financial Automation — Software Terms of Use

Effective Date: October 15, 2026

1. Introduction

These Software Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of AFD Financial Automation ("Software"), developed and operated by AFD Solutions ("AFD").

The Software provides financial reporting, accounting data analysis, cash flow analysis, and related financial automation services.

By accessing or using the Software, the user agrees to these Terms.

2. Software Services

AFD Financial Automation may provide functionality including:

  • Integration with QuickBooks Online and other accounting systems.
  • Retrieval and analysis of financial and accounting information.
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable reporting.
  • Cash flow analysis and forecasting.
  • Financial report generation, including Excel-based reports.
  • Other financial and operational analysis tools.

Available features may vary depending on the user's service arrangement.

3. Service Arrangements

AFD offers two methods of accessing the Software.

AFD-Managed Services: AFD operates the Software on behalf of its clients as part of an agreed financial consulting, accounting, or reporting engagement.

Self-Service Software: Authorized clients may receive access to operate the Software independently, subject to applicable licensing agreements and subscription or service fees.

The specific services, features, and fees applicable to each client will be established separately.

4. Software Ownership and Licensing

AFD retains ownership of the Software, including its underlying code, functionality, design, and proprietary processes, except for third-party components and intellectual property owned by others.

Clients receive a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the Software in accordance with their applicable service agreements.

Use of the Software does not transfer ownership of its intellectual property.

Clients retain ownership of their accounting information, financial records, and business data.

5. QuickBooks Online Integration

The Software may connect to QuickBooks Online through Intuit's authorized application programming interfaces (APIs).

Users must authorize access to their QuickBooks Online accounts.

The Software may retrieve accounting information, including account balances, invoices, vendor bills, customer information, vendor information, and other financial records necessary to provide its services.

Users may revoke their authorization through the applicable QuickBooks or Intuit account settings.

The Software is independently developed by AFD and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Intuit.

6. Data Confidentiality and Security

AFD will use client financial information only for authorized financial reporting, analysis, and related services.

AFD will implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect confidential financial information.

Access to client information will be limited to authorized individuals and systems.

AFD will not sell client financial information or use it for unrelated advertising purposes.

Additional information regarding data collection, processing, storage, and retention is provided in the Software Privacy Policy.

7. Financial Information and User Responsibilities

The Software processes information obtained from accounting systems and other authorized sources.

Although AFD seeks to provide accurate calculations and reports, the completeness and accuracy of results depend partly on the underlying financial records.

Users are responsible for reviewing financial reports and verifying information before making business decisions.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the Software does not independently verify the accuracy of accounting transactions.

8. Software Availability and Modifications

AFD may update, improve, modify, or discontinue particular Software features.

AFD does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every accounting system.

Certain functionality may depend on third-party services, including QuickBooks Online.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, AFD shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Software.

Any additional limitations of liability may be established in the applicable client service or licensing agreement.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Termination

Access to the Software may be terminated in accordance with the applicable service or licensing agreement.

Upon termination, the user's right to access the Software ends.

Treatment of client information following termination will be governed by the applicable agreement and Software Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

AFD may update these Terms periodically.

Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Where required, users will receive notice of material changes.
